AVIPSA! OVERVIEW

WHAT? AVISPA! is an advanced drill system for Spanish that focuses on teaching students how to conjugate verb forms and helps teachers pinpoint drill issues for individuals or classes.
WHY? While there are existing drill systems centered to teaching Spanish, few exist with a focus on conjugated verb drills - and of those few none had the reporting features or functionality that was needed.
HOW? Funding for the AVISPA! project is due to a technology grant from the Associated Colleges of the South and the University of the South's Instructional Technology department.
WHEN? AVISPA! was developed over a three month period in The University of the South's Academic Technology Center. The beta version was rolled out to a select group of students in September of 2003. Fall semester testing has brought an overwhelming positive response from both instructors and students.

We have divided this pictoral demonstration into two categories - one from a student's perspective
(we also give you a log in and password into a real class for some hands-on examples)
and one from an administrator's (professor's) perspective.
